Why this? Why now?

I’ve got a degree in Business and Psychology and I have worked my way up to be the Head of HR for a £multimillion business. I’ve been told that sometimes I’m pretty good at it too. I love setting direction and getting stuck in with the team to see a vision come to life and drive commercial success.

Thing is, it’s not the only thing that lights my fire. When I come alive is after hours, writing in a range of genres such as Speculative and Commercial fiction, reading and critiquing in these genres and more, and playing narrative driven computer games. Putting this website together is one of the steps I’m taking to try to better shift the balance towards doing more of what I love.

Here I’ll be sharing experiences from my successes and the learnings from my failures as I leverage the skills I employ in my day job toward my ultimate goal of making a significant contribution to the world of storytelling that I am so passionate about.
